La BBC selecciona las 100 mejores comedias de todos los tiempos

BBC Culture presenta una lista con las 100 mejores comedias de todos los tiempos. En este ranking aparecen Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, de Pedro Almodóvar y dos de Luis Buñuel: El discreto encanto de la burguesía y El ángel exterminador. Si el pasado año BBC Culture consultaba a 177 críticos para determinar las mejores películas de este siglo XXI,  este año ha querido conocer cuáles son los 100 mejores títulos de comedia, ya que en la encuesta de 2016, pocas eran las cintas de este género que se entraron en la lista. Para determinar cuáles son las mejores comedias de todos los tiempos,  la sección de Cultura de la BBC lanzó a 253 críticos de cine – 118 mujeres y 135 hombres – de 52 países una simple cuestión: «cuáles piensan que son las 10 mejores comedias de todos los tiempos«. Para no influir en sus respuestas, BBC no definió de antemano el concepto comedia, dejando esta decisión a cada uno de los críticos, con cuyas respuestas se elaboró el ranking. El primer puesto de la lista lo ocupa Con faldas y a lo loco, de Billy Wilder protagonizada por Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon y Tony Curtis. Le sigue ¿Teléfono rojo? Volamos hacia Moscú, de Stanley Kubrick, con Peter Sellers; y la tercera posición es para Woody Allen con su Annie Hall. El discreto encanto de la burguesía, dirigida por Luis Buñuel se sitúa en el puesto 49; Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, ocupa el puesto 50 y El ángel exterminador, el 92.
